T3: Presentation workshop – practise days

Aside from the accuracy of the contents, the success of a presentation depends on how confidently, clearly and interestingly the subject is presented and on whether or not one is able to speak both authentically and convincingly.

This is what one should always aim for: People want to be spoken to and their interest to be awoken and the contents of the speech should be convincingly communicated to everyone present. Having previously covered the ground rules of presentation design (T2) you will now have the opportunity to learn and perfect how to apply them in these two days of practical presentation training.

Target group: Everybody who gives speeches, presentations or lectures to either groups or the general public

Course Content:

  • Voice, speech, posture: How do I appear, what message do I get across?
  • How do I make myself speak  lively and interesting?
  • Is the form of my speech optimal for my contents?
  • Using the structure of the presentation as an overview and guidance tool
  • Building bridges to the audience: eye contact, paratactic speaking
  • Speaking in an appealing manner and remaining in the audience’s memory
  • Practical speaking and calling for questions
  • To reduce nervousness and stress and transform them into positive energy (in case of extreme nervousness or fear, we recommend first completing the C1 Confident and fluent in Public Speaking Coaching)

Send us your prepared presentation a week before the seminar begins by email as a pdf or a pptx file.  The presentation should last about 10 minutes (7-8 slides) and be drawn up according to the T2 concept. We shall look at the presentation before the seminar, provide you with feedback, possibly correct and optimize it, so that in the practical session we can concentrate on your personality, your effect on the audience and the training of the aspects of delivery.

You will give your presentation 3-4 times, each time receiving feedback, having time to repeat sections if necessary and video analysis. In this way you will immediately experience your progress and effectiveness on your audience.

At the end of the training you will receive personalized recommendations for your potential for further development.
